Council members unanimously back longtime commissioner as city continues work on zoning rewrite
MANDEVILLE — The Mandeville City Council unanimously reappointed Brian Rhinehart to the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, keeping an experienced member in place as the city continues work on a rewrite of its zoning regulations.
All five council members nominated Rhinehart under the council’s recently adopted procedure for filling board and commission seats. Council members cited Rhinehart’s experience, leadership and knowledge of the city’s land-use regulations as reasons for supporting his reappointment.

Council members also praised applicants Charles Guinchard and Dennis Horchoff for seeking the position and suggested they could be considered for other opportunities to serve the city, including vacancies on the Historic District Commission.
Planning and Zoning commissioners serve seven-year terms and receive $100 per month.
